Welcome to my website. As an upcoming Author, I aim to create a better understanding of the world and our place in it — a mission which has cast me in many different roles: author, and creative advocate. I have always been passionate about storytelling and impressed by the influence it has on people and the decisions they make in life. I love engaging with the projects I work on, diving creatively into the understanding of the positive implications, and production of true life stories directly related to me; I feel are worth writing about. I am a curious and proactive writer, interested in preserving the foundations set by classical literature by adapting them to modern themes and trends.
I have been working on these books for quite some time, and can’t wait for you to read them. This book writing first started out as a true life story and eventually became a side project, but soon turned into a fascinating undertaking which I couldn’t stop thinking about or writing.
Career Highlight
I am the founder, chief consultant, and director of Maryam Consultancy UK, where I lead a specialist practice in organisational effectiveness, focusing on Human Resources, Leadership, Organisational Development, Intellectual, and Change Management.
In my consultancy role, I partner with clients across corporate, non-profit, and government sectors. I work closely with key decision-makers to perform personality and performance assessments, review budgets, produce deliverables, and organise work groups aimed at driving profitability and sustainable growth.
Leadership is a core passion of mine, particularly empowering Women’s Leadership and addressing the systemic barriers that impede women’s career advancement.
I am a practising Sunni Muslim and hold a BSc in Accounting, an MA in Personnel and Development, membership in CIPD, and a Diploma in International HRM.
My expertise spans Human Resources Management, International HRM, Change Management, Strategic Planning, Succession Planning, Performance Management, Executive Coaching, and Project Management.
I am self-motivated, dedicated, and highly professional, with a strong generalist HR background delivering operational HR services in public and private sectors. I bring strategic thinking, clear vision, and well-developed political skills that enable me to thrive in performance-driven environments focused on progression and development.
Alongside my consultancy work, I am an aspiring author and a single mother of four who draws inspiration from my family in both my professional and creative pursuits.
